Ronald N. Christensen, 85, passed away peacefully at his home on May 10, 2023.
Ron was born in Bagley, WI and graduated from Oconto Falls HS (’55) and attended the UW Extension in Green Bay. He served two years in the Army, and had a long career in construction steel as a draftsman, sales estimator, and board of directors of the Green Bay Builders Exchange.
Ron married his wife Karen in 1962, and together they built their life. Ron enjoyed spending time with his family, especially at his beloved Stonywood where he gardened, fished, worked in the woods, and played many card games. Ron was friendly to everyone he met and had a great sense of humor.
An active member of St. Agnes Parish, Ron served in many roles including choir member, parish council member, communion distributor, and served as co-president of the parish council.
Ron is lovingly remembered by his wife of over 60 years, Karen (Behringer), his 4 children Timothy (Cherie), Thomas (Kimberly), Brenda (Brian) Pluger, and Susan (Carl) Fischer, 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, his sisters Valerie Allen and Imogene (Von) Solberg, his step sister Mary Abel, brothers-in-law Gene Behringer, and Dale (Mary) Behringer.
A visitation at St. Agnes Catholic Church (1484 9th Street) will be held from 9-11 on Thursday, May 18 with a funeral mass at 11:00. Officiating at the mass of Christian burial will be Rev. Patrick Beno. Burial will take place at Pine Hill Cemetery in Spruce at a later time.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name.
