On January 7, 2024, God called Ronald Eugene Webster, age 88, home to heaven. Ron was given life by his creator and was born on April 4, 1935, the son of James (Don) Donald Webster and Mary Ann (Walker) Webster, in Mount Vernon, Washington and was raised in Anacortes, Washington. He received the gift of Holy Baptism and became a child of God and was confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Portland, Oregon.
Ron graduated from Benson Polytechnic High School in Portland, Oregon in 1953. He moved to Wisconsin in 1981 where he met and married Carol Block on June 29, 1985.
Ron enjoyed traveling to many places with his wife Carol. They visited Spain, Portugal, The United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, the Figi Islands, and many other countries. Ron spent thirty years as a motor coach driver for several bus companies including Wisconsin Michigan Trailways and Nationwide Travelers. He has traveled throughout the United States and Canada and his wife Carol accompanied him many times on these trips. Ron and Carol also enjoyed playing bridge with their bridge club, golfing, bowling, and ballroom dancing.
Ron is survived by one sister: Constance (Connie) Webster; one daughter: Lisa Ann (Webster) Forsyth; one sister-in-law: Josey Webster; three stepchildren: Diane Rusch, Roxanne (Dave) Matthias and Rick (Julie) Block; nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife: Carol Block-Webster; his parents; two brothers: James (Jim) Edward Webster and Daniel (Skip) Webster; and one sister: Sharon Bingamen (Webster); and one step son-in-law: William (Bill) Rusch.
A funeral service will be held Friday February 9, 2024, at 12:00 pm at The Lyndahl Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1350 Lombardi Avenue, Green Bay. Visitation will occur from 11:00 am until the time of service. Burial will take place at Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery, White Clay Lake Rd, Cecil, WI.
