Roy ‘Bud’ F. Deetjen, 87, died Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Aurora Baycare Medical Center. Bud was born on November 23, 1933 in Milwaukee, son of the late Roy and Hesther (Erler) Deetjen. He was a graduate of Juneau High School and then attended the University of Wisconsin where he earned a bachelor’s degree in finance. Bud took two years of ROTC in College. Upon graduation from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, he began to serve his country until his honorable discharge in 1962.
On June 4, 1994, he married Rosanne Kressbach in Jackson, Wisconsin. Bud was employed as a Real Estate Investor until his retirement. He was a Mason, as well as a member of the Scottish Rite, York Rite, and the Shriners. Bud was also a Past Master of Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Rosanne; a stepdaughter, Ruthanne Peterson, both of DePere; he is further survived by many family members and friends.
Cremation has occurred and Bud will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy, memories and photos may be shared with Bud’s family on his tribute page at www.lyndahl.com.
