Russell (Russ) J. Sturdivant, 67 of Menasha passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Mercy Medical Center, Oshkosh.
Russ was born on April 6, 1954 in Escanaba, MI, son of the late Vern and Betty (Guimond) Sturdivant. He graduated from Escanaba High School with the class of 1982. On February 12, 1977 he married Kathy Topping in Green Bay. Russ served in the United States Army for twenty-one years and was honorably discharged in 1999. He loved woodworking and shooting. Russ was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a very active member of Highland Crest Baptist Church. Russ was courageous, funny, and enjoyed terrorizing his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy; four daughters, Jamie Sturdivant and Eli Derenne, Jenn Sturdivant, Jessica Ann Sturdivant and Bobbi Jo (Coty) Nowak; four granddaughters, Lillian Sturdivant, Madalyn Duncan, McKenna Sturdivant and Bayleigh Sturdivant; one grandson, Daniel Meshigaud; two sisters, Donna (Ron) Faccio and Vivian (Jerry) Ketchem; five sisters-in-law, Debbie Topping, Phoebe (Joe) Hyde and Cheryl (Darrell) Wise, Selena Kydd and Liz Cook; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.
Russ was also preceded in death by one son, Mark Anthony Sturdivant; two grandchildren, Baby Nowak and Baby Derrene; three brothers, Ralph Cook, Bob Cook and Jim Cook; one sister, Mary Wilbur; two brothers-in-law, Vince Topping and Ken Topping.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Friday, June 11, 2021 at Highland Crest Baptist Church, 1830 Military Avenue, Green Bay.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 11, 2021 at Highland Crest Baptist Church, 1830 Military Avenue, Green Bay. Officiating at the service will be Pastor Chad Hertler.
