Sarah A. Hyska (Pavlat)
Sarah Hyska, 88, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 23, 2025. She was born on February 2, 1937, to Raymond & Ceil Pavlat. Sarah grew up in Green Bay and worked at Fort Howard Paper Mill for 21 years. On April 29, 1967, she married the love of her life, Donald Hyska. They enjoyed 52 years together.
In her younger years, Sarah enjoyed going to the casino, playing cards with friends, line dancing, games on the computer, traveling with her sister & brother-in-law, and spending time at her cottage. In her years living at Woodside Nursing Home, Sarah was known to attend all social events that were offered. She could never be found in her room. Sarah was loved and will be missed by the staff and residents at Woodside.
Preceding Sarah in death are her parents; twin sister, Suzie and her husband Ken Van Lanen; stepson, Ricky; in-laws, Jerry (Mariann), Roger (Sandi), Ronny, and Judi Hyska.
Sarah is survived by her stepchildren, Cherrie (Chris) Stevens, Gary (Tina) Hyska, and Debbie (Dan) Zanzie; in-laws, Fran (Sue) Hyska, and Bob Hyska; special nieces, Debbie Pominville and Peggy Seim-Nielsen; many grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may visit Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Ave., Green Bay, on Monday, September 29, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with funeral service at 11:00 a.m.
Sarah’s family would like to thank the loving and caring staff at Woodside Lutheran Home. Their true compassion for Sarah will never be forgotten.
