Stella M. Smith

Stella M. Smith, age 88, of Green Bay, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2022.

Stella was born November 8, 1933, in Green Bay, daughter of the late Alois and Felecia (Ciszewski) Piontek.  She attended Green Bay West High School.  On September 15, 1951, she was united in marriage to Richard D. Smith in Green Bay.  He preceded her in death on May 11, 2010.

Stella was a member of many organizations over her lifetime.  President of the Jefferson School PTA, German American Society, Order of Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile, Concerned Hearts, and Howard Historical Society, were just a few.

Survivors include her children:  Sharon (Jeff) Wolosek, Dale (Kim) Smith, Laura (Charles) Maner, David (Brenda) Smith, Daniel (Patricia) Smith, Donald (Julie) Smith, Douglas (Theresa) Smith, and Trudi (Matthew) Wojtyla. She is further survived by many grand and great-grandchildren.  Stella was preceded in death by one son: Richard N. Smith.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 14, 2022, at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Green Bay.  Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Diane Rew.  The family will greet relatives and friends on Monday, March 14, 2022, at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. Burial to take place at Fort Howard Cemetery at a later time.
