Steve R. Westenberger, age 61, South Carolina, passed away August 19, 2022, following a long battle with Pancreatic Cancer.
After graduating from West De Pere High School, he continued to work at Shade Business Forms for 26 years; till they closed in 2000, he then worked for Kadant Plastic for three years. In 2008, his father, Robert Westenberger gave him his business when he retired and Steve moved to Florence, South Carolina to Manage and Own Rosie’s Bar, where he worked for 15 years.
He made many friends and took up golfing as his part time hobby. He always had a German Shephard for companionship, the most recent being Suzy.
Steve was always quick to smile; lend a hand when one was needed (even with his mom and her computer); and never wanted anyone to worry about him. Putting others first came natural to him.
Steve will be greatly missed by his mother: Georgia Prosser (Lindeman); his stepmother: Rosie Westenberger; and all his friends from Wisconsin and South Carolina, of which were many.
Steve was preceded in death by his father: Robert Westenberger; stepdad: John R. Prosser; brother: A.J. Westenberger, and his paternal and maternal grandparents.
A prayer service will be held Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at 11:00 am at The Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Avenue, Green Bay, Sister Helen Keyzer will officiate. Visitation will occur at 10:00 am until the time of service. Burial will follow at Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
