Steven Robert LaMay, 81, Green Bay died on Friday, January 14, 2022, at St. Vincent Hospital.
Steve was born on November 17, 1940, in Green Bay to Robert and Muriel (Athey) LaMay. He was a graduate of East High School. After high school he served his country in the United States Army for two years. Steve worked for 36 years at Hudson Sharpe. Steve enjoyed traveling to watch bicycle races, photography, growing flowers and tomatoes, fishing, watching birds and loved his Mustang and going to car shows. Steve will miss his Wednesday A&W car buddies.
Steve is survived by his sister and brother-in-law: Diane (Orv) Goddard; nieces and nephews: Randy (Jodi) Goddard, Pam (Bruce) Dantoin, LuAnn (Eric) Buckley, Rob (Peg) Goddard, and Doreen (Todd) Goddard; 14 great nieces and nephews, 13 great-great nieces and nephews, including his special buddy, Emersyn. Steve was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
A funeral service to celebrate Steve’s life will be held at 6pm on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Ave., with Rev. Pat Green officiating. Steve will be laid to rest at Fort Howard Cemetery. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at the funeral home from 3pm until the time of service at 6pm. Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, the family is requesting that all in attendance please practice social distancing and wear a mask.
