Sue E. Van Haren, 76, of Green Bay passed away on Friday, December 30, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family.
Sue was born on August 26, 1946, in Green Bay to LaVern and Rosalie (Peterson) Berg. She was a graduate of Green Bay West High School. After graduation, she worked a few years in banking. She then moved to Cincinnati, OH, where both of her girls were born, moving back to Green Bay in 1977. Over the years, Sue worked in retail, working the longest and was most proud of her time at the HC Prange Company, as head of the infant and girl’s department. Following her time at HC Prange, she worked at several other retail stores. After retirement, she worked part time at Birch Creek Assisted Living and Encompass Day Care. Sue enjoyed attending concerts in the park, going to lunch with her friends, sitting outside in the afternoon on her porch, doing word search puzzles, and she loved spending time with her family and attending her grandchildren’s activities.
Sue is survived by her two daughters: Pam (Eric) Olson, and Julie (Ken) Anderson; grandchildren: Collin (Gretchen) Anderson, Laken Anderson, and Clay (fiancé Mallory Kallas) Olson; great-grandson: Dane Anderson; and brothers and sister: Robert Berg, Ronald Berg, and Kaye (Jim) Zadrazil. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Sue was preceded in death by her parents; an infant great-grandchild; and one sister-in-law: Sheila Berg.
A memorial service to celebrate Sue’s life will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Ave., with Rev. Robb McClintock officiating. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at the funeral home from 9:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am.
