Thomas P. “Tom” Bakran passed away October 1, 2021.
Tom was born in Wells, MI on April 23, 1936 to Andrew and Katherine (Grsich) Bakran, along with twin sister Patti. Tom served in the US Air Force from 1956 to 1960. He married Edith (Klitzke) on May 23, 1964 at St. Patrick’s parish in Green Bay. Tom retired in 1998 as a diesel electrician from the railroad. Tom was an active member of St. Joseph’s parish serving many roles until his health deteriorated. Tom loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandson. An avid dog lover, Tom had many pet dogs over the course of his life. He also enjoyed watching the Brewers, Packers, Bucks and movies.
Tom is survived by his wife of 57 years, son Steve (Kelly), daughter Colleen (Todd) Axtman, grandchildren Delaney and Kennedy Bakran, Luke (Kaitlyn) Axtman, Meghan Axtman (fiancé Dan), great grandson Crew Axtman, brother John (Judi) Bakran, and sister Anne Goodreau. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, brothers Stephen, Rudy, Frank, Joe and sisters Mary, Jane Ferrari, Liz Potvin, Patti Servant, Katherine and Theresa.
Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, October 7, 2021 at the Lyndahl Funeral Home, Green Bay. Entombment will take place at Allouez Mausoleum at a later date. Full military honors will be accorded immediately following services at the funeral home.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Thursday, October 7, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
