Thomas Mireau

Thomas E. Mireau, age 79, son of Florence (Grabow) and Edwin Mireau, passed away on Sunday, March 28, 2021 after a short illness. Tom was born and raised an only child in Milwaukee, WI.  He attended Mother of Good Council School.  Tom was an army veteran of the Korean War where he served in the Intelligence Department in England. As a young adult he began working at Wisconsin Motors, where he stayed for 15 years.  He also took up the sport of Competitive Archery Shooting and won many awards including Wisconsin Top Archer.

In 1988, Tom began a seasoning company in his basement.  He would go to the local Milwaukee supermarkets and grocery stores giving away samples.  A year later he moved to Cedar Grove, WI, rented warehouse space in Belgium, WI and started a company called Butler’s Pantry, Inc.  He created a line of seasonings and batter breading mixes called Wildlife Seasonings and by 1994 they were sold nationwide. Tom was also an avid bow and gun hunter scoring high for both, Pope and Young and Boone and Crocket. If you wanted to find Tom, he’d be in the woods.  He also enjoyed fishing and boating on the Tom-Cat with the family.

Tom is survived by his life partner of 27 years, Cathy Williquette; step-daughters, Kelly (Butch Semb) Williquette, Jen (Aaron Klein) Flanagan; Mark and Christine Williquette; grandchildren, Jacob (Sabrina) Wieland and Taylor Williquette and Andrew Williquette; The loves of his life – great-grandsons, Emmett and Elliott Wieland.

He is preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 5, 2021 at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Avenue, from 4:00 p.m. until the funeral service at 6:30 p.m. Expressions of sympathy, memories and photos may be shared with Tom’s family on his tribute page at www.lyndahl.com.
