Ursula Galonski, 75, of Green Bay passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at St. Mary’s Medical Center.
Ursula was born on January 29, 1949 to Alfons and Hildegard (Fischer) Weiss in Munich, Germany. After graduation from high school, she furthered her education and received her bachelor’s degree in education from UW-Oshkosh. On August 4, 1989, she married Robert Galonski, he preceded her in death in 2015.
Ursula was a dedicated and devoted teacher at St. Matthew’s School in Green Bay. Ursula had an interest in learning about many new things, including new cultures, religions and art. She had a passion for knowledge and was intrigued with meeting and talking with people and learning their life story and perspectives, as well as sharing her own.
Ursula is survived by two sisters: Renate (Don) Diedrick and Kristina (Scott) Van Den Heuvel; one brother: Thomas (significant other Gina) Weiss; nieces: Rebecca Diedrick, Micaela Diedrick, Katie (Galen) Van Weiss, and Chelsea Crosslin; great niece and nephew: Frances and Charlie; special friend: Dan Aude; and step-son: Zachary and his family. Ursula was preceded in death by her parents: Alfons and Hildegard Weiss; and husband: Robert Galonski.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at The Rock Garden, 1951 Bond Street, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Please text or call 920-619-6670 to RSVP.
