Wayne A. Vanderkam, 67, of Green Bay passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at St Mary’s Hospital.
Wayne was born on September 22, 1956 to Gerald and Lenora (Marten) Vanderkam. Wayne was an avid Packer and Brewer fan, and enjoyed bowling, playing pool, and computer games. Wayne worked at Aspiro for 25 years until his retirement and also enjoyed playing on the Aspiro softball team.
Wayne is survived by his mom: Lenora McNally, Green Bay; sisters: Jane (Ron) Cherney, and Cheryl Vanderkam, both of Green Bay; sister-in-law: Linda Vanderkam, Green Bay; and nieces and nephews: Angie (Jim) Cherney-Raisleger, Brian Cherney, Paul Meyer, Justin Meyer, and Stacie (Jesse) Lawrenz. He is further survived by great-nieces and great-nephews. Wayne was preceded in death by his dad: Gerald Vanderkam; step-dad: Henry McNally; brother: Pete Vanderkam; grandparents; and two uncles and one aunt.
A funeral service to celebrate Wayne’s life will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Calvary Lutheran Church, 1301 S. Ridge Rd., with Rev. Ben Williams officiating. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at the church from 12:00 pm until the time of service at 1:00 pm. Wayne will be laid to rest at Fort Howard Cemetery.
