William “Bill” M. Monahan, age 86 of Green Bay, passed away Thursday January 30, 2025, at Rennes Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Bill was born December 31, 1938, in Tomah, WI. Son of the late William L. and Agnes (Sheehan) Monahan. Bill served in the United States Army 101st Airborne as a paratrooper until his honorable discharge. On September 14, 1963, Bill married the former Bonnie J. Maloney.
Bill was a proud UPS employee for many years until his retirement. He was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Parish. He enjoyed spending 27 winters in Panama City, FL.
He was blessed with three boys: Michael Monahan, Chad Monahan, Eric (Lisa) Monahan; he was further blessed with four granddaughters: Meghan Angell, Macie Monahan, Mya Monahan, Madelyn Monahan; two sisters: Katie Felker, Mary Lou Wehausen; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Delores Hanrahan, George Maloney, Patricia (Dale) Rysewyk, Marty (Bev) Maloney; many friends at Renaissance Assisted Living, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents: William L. and Agnes Monahan; His wife, the love of his life: Bonnie J. Monahan; daughter-in-law: Kim Monahan; three brothers-in-law: Ed Felker, Oscar Wehausen, Mike Hanrahan.
Funeral services will be held at 6:00 pm Thursday February 6, 2025, at Nativity of Our Lord Parish, 2270 S. Oneida St., Green Bay, Reverend Matt Simonar will celebrate the mass of Christian burial. Relatives and friends may call at the church from 4:00 pm until the mass at 6:00 pm. Military Honors will follow the mass. Entombment will take Place at Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
