Roberta Jeanne (Krueger) Kirchoff

Roberta Jeanne (Krueger) Kirchoff, age 82, of Ashwaubenon, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 13, 2017. Roberta Jeanne was born on June 4, 1935, in Appleton, Wisconsin, to the late Wilmer A. and Roberta (Burns) Krueger. She was a graduate of Appleton West High School, in Appleton, Wisconsin. Roberta Jeanne attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in education. While attending college, she was a member of the Alpha Gamma Lambda sorority. On August 8, 1964, Roberta Jeanne married Henry F. Kirchoff in Manitowoc, Wisconsin.

Following graduation, Roberta Jeanne began her teaching career in the Manitowoc County School District where she taught grade three. After ten years, she then transitioned to the Ashwaubenon School District where she continued teaching grade three until her retirement. 

After her retirement from teaching, Roberta Jeanne continued working for the Aging Resource Center of Brown County where she served as the Nutrition Program Director. Her life was full of a variety of volunteering activities including: Girls Scouts of America, teaching Sunday School, volunteering with the Brown County Volunteer Center, and other community services. In addition to Roberta Jeanne’s involvement in volunteering, she enjoyed attending local theater productions, especially watching her beloved Henry on stage.  She also enjoyed spending time at their cottage in Gresham and curling up with a good book. Sundays were spent cheering on her Green Bay Packers.

One of her greatest assets has been the many friendships she has forged over the years.  Roberta Jeanne is survived by her sister, Barbara Wilcox; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Sylvester and Helen (Kirchoff) Diedrich, of Manitowoc; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Henry F. Kirchoff; parents, Wilmer A. and Roberta (Burns) Krueger; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Sue Krueger; brother-in-law, Bill Wilcox; sister-in-law, Loraine (Kirchoff) Gaestel; and many loving Aunts and Uncles.

Per Roberta Jeanne’s request, there will be NO VISITATION prior to the service.  The Funeral Service will be held at Pilgrim Congregational Church, 991 Pilgrim Way, on Saturday, December 16, 2017, at 2:00 p.m.  Rev. Dr. Mark McAnlis will be officiating.  Entombment will be at Fort Howard Mausoleum.
