Douglas E. Augustine

Douglas E. Augustine, age 74, of Green Bay, passed away on Monday, September 11, 2017, at Woodside Manor.  He was born on April 8, 1943, in Oconto, to the late Everett and Betty (Elizabeth Epariver) Augustine. 

After graduating in the Class of 1961 from Oconto High School, he went on to serve four years in the Air Force.  Following his military service, he joined the Wisconsin State Patrol as a Motor Vehicle Inspector and then became a Consumer Protection Investigator until his retirement.

Retirement brought on new changes and challenges as he traveled the United States, site-seeing and volunteering for disaster relief for Habitat for Humanity and Haiti Relief through the Air Mobile Ministries until becoming ill.

Doug is survived by his children and their spouses, Jeffrey (Lynn Heupel) Augustine, RPh and Jennifer (Chuck Carabelli) Augustine, MD; grandson, Joshua Carabelli; brothers and sisters, Janet Hyland, Philip (Cathy) Augustine, Deborah (Dick) Viestenz, Lois (Mike) Wyent, Chris Augustine, and Sara (Joe) Loberger; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Doug is preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Dalton Hyland.

Family and friends may visit Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, 2270 S. Oneida St., on Thursday, September 14, 2017, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m.  Rev. Doug’s family requests no flowers and any gifts to be given in Doug’s name to “Reach Out to Haiti” Orphanage located in Haiti.
