My memories of Doug are from my childhood when I visited grandma and grandpa Augustine with my parents Jerry and Eleanor Augustine-Paulsen. Eleanor was Everett and Melba's sister. My parents are passed, but my brother Rob survives in Texas with his 3 children and 7 granchildren. I have 2 boys 27 & 29 living in So Cal near me and my husband Jim. Cousins I'm sorry we have not kept in touch, but I have fond memories of good times shared. I would welcome an e-mail to hear your news. You have my deepest condolences.

So sorry to read of Doug's death, and more so to read that he had been ill. Doug and my husband, Mike, worked together at WDATCP until 1987, and were good friends. Mike died in 1990, and I lost track of Doug. I am thrilled to see how exciting and fulfilling and giving his "retired" life was until illness struck. What a wonderful legacy he has left. I do have one picture of him with Mike and Bob Zaspel at a summer party that I think you would enjoy. I've included my email address so you can contact me that way if you wish, and my phone number is 920-371-1797.

Doug was one of the most loving, selfless and giving people we have ever known. He was a valuable volunteer at air Mobile Ministries and more than that he was our friend. We loved him dearly and will miss him terribly. Fly high Doug. Until we meet again.
