My sincere condolences to the family. Joe was an amazing man. I met Joe through his daughter Ann in 1980. He was funny and very intelligent. You will be greatly missed on this temporary home of ours.

Thank you very much. Your Dad reminded me so much of mine. I remember sitting next to Uncle Carl eating corn at the reunion many moons ago, and realizing the very strong mannerisms that resembled my Dad!!! With Love!!

At Manistique Federal Credit Union we all miss "Santa Joe". I miss his call every Fall asking if I was good the past year, and if I was good enough he would visit us. Though we only got to share him one day a year, He was a special part of many lives here. Santa Joe was the only Real Santa my daughter ever knew and I was thrilled he got to meet my granddaughters for a number of years as well.
We would reminisce about the past year and shared the good and bad times, including my wife Sally's bout with cancer as well as her father Nick whom he knew even longer than me. I'll always remember his jingle bells and warm welcome to all the kids, his Christmas duck and the Packer vs Lion jokes. I submitted a picture on the funeral home website that we proudly have displayed in a frame by our lobby Christmas tree. Joe is sadly missed by his Christmas family up North and our memories of the good times with Santa Joe will always be a part of our lives.

Thank you for sharing your story of our Dad. Being Santa was a highlight for him. The best gift he gave to all of us was love...
